Blog IEBSN Updates

The  NSW EPA’s Industrial Ecology Business Support Network in the Hunter is humming along well. We closed the 2014 year happy to announce that approx. 2,000 tonnes of commercial and industrial waste is on track to being diverted from landfill. Alternative uses of wood waste and fibre-cement board were identified and connections made between businesses that generate->transport->aggregate->process->reuse this waste.

We realise that it often takes time for projects to develop. With increased awareness of the program and of the benefits of being involved becoming more widely known, other businesses that generate wastes of plastic, glass, organics and grit blasting medium are now also participating in the network and projects are being progressed.

If you want to get involved in the IEBSN – Hunter LinkedIn group, send us an email and we will invite you to join the forum.
